Drop the video on the page or click to browse. MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and WMV all work, up to 150 MB.
Choose how to cut it
Parts of a set length, a set number of parts, parts of about a set size, or cut where you choose. The page lists every part before anything is cut.
Press Split the video
A few seconds later each part appears with its own player, its length and its size.
Download the parts
Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP. Each part is the same type of file as the original.
Add a video, choose how to cut it, check the list of parts the page shows you, and download them one by one or as a single ZIP. The video is copied, not re-encoded, so nothing is lost and it takes seconds.
A video can be cut without re-encoding only at its keyframes, the full pictures that the frames after them build on. The page reads where they are, snaps every cut to a real one and lists each part with its start, end and length. A phone video has a keyframe every second or two, so the parts land very close to the times you ask for. Videos that were downloaded or exported often have one only every several seconds; if that stops a part from being as short as you asked, the page says so, and the list is what you will get.
The picture and the sound are copied into every part exactly as they are, so the quality is identical to the original. Subtitles and the language of each track come along, each part starts at zero, and every part is the same type of file as the video you added: MP4 stays MP4, and MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and WMV stay what they were. The tags of the original, such as the date and place it was recorded, are copied into each part; clear them with the Video Metadata Remover if you are going to share the parts.
Your browser cuts the video on your own phone or computer, so it is never uploaded. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many videos you split. The first time you use any of the video or audio tools on this site, your browser downloads the small engine that does the work (about 10 MB) and keeps it for next time. Videos up to 150 MB are handled on the page.
Choose a length, or a size if the limit is on megabytes, and download the parts. Apps change their limits from time to time, so check the current one in the app and choose the length that fits rather than relying on a number you read last year. To put the parts back together later, Merge Videos joins them in any order.
Add the video, choose how to cut it (parts of a set length, a set number of parts, parts of about a set size, or cut where I choose) and check the list of parts the page shows. Press Split the video, then download the parts one by one or all together as a ZIP.
Yes. Choose A set number of parts, from 2 to 20, or Parts of a set length. Equal parts are as equal as the video's keyframes allow, so the page lists the real length of each part before you cut.
Choose Parts of a set length and press 30 s or 1 min, or slide to any length you like. Each part ends on the last keyframe that keeps it within that length, so a part is never longer than the length you pick unless the video's keyframes are further apart than that, in which case the page tells you.
Choose Parts of a set length and pick the length the app allows, then download the parts and post them one after another. Apps change their limits from time to time, so check the current limit in the app and choose the length that fits.
Choose Parts of a set length and pick a length that fits the app, or cut where you want each part to begin. Check the current limit in the app first, because platforms change them. The parts keep the quality of the original.
For a size limit, choose Parts of about a set size and pick a number of megabytes. To make a few big chunks, choose A set number of parts. Either way the video is copied, not re-encoded, so the parts add up to about the size of the original.
Choose Parts of about a set size and pick 10, 25, 50 or 100 MB, or slide to another number. The page turns the size into a length using your video's average size per second, so parts come out close to the size you chose, not exactly, because a video's size is not spread evenly along its length.
Choose Cut where I choose, type the times, such as 1:30 and 4:00, and press Add, or play the video and press Cut at the player's position wherever you want a cut. The parts appear in the list. Each cut snaps to the nearest keyframe.
Because the video is copied, not re-rendered, a part can only start on a keyframe, the full picture the frames after it build on. Phone videos have one every second or two, so parts land very close to the times you ask for. Videos that were downloaded or exported often have one every several seconds, and the page shows the real parts before you cut.
No. The picture and the sound are copied into each part without being decoded or compressed again, so every frame is identical to the original.
No. Your browser cuts the video on your own phone or computer, so it never leaves your device and nothing is sent to a server.
MP4 (including M4V), MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and WMV. Every part is the same type of file as the original, so a MOV is split into MOV files.
Videos up to 150 MB are split right on the page. That is roughly a minute and a half of 1080p phone footage, and much more at lower quality.
Up to 100 parts, each at least one second long.
Yes. Press Download all as a ZIP to get every part in one file, or download them one by one. Each part has its own player, so you can check it before you save it.

Yes. The sound, the subtitles and the language of each track are copied into every part along with the picture.
A leftover shorter than one second stays with the part before it, so you do not get a file that is only a few frames long.
Yes, with Merge Videos, which joins clips in any order.
It is free, with no watermark, no account and no limit on how many videos you split.
Videos are split one at a time. Each takes seconds, so a handful is quick: download the parts, press Start over and add the next video.
A few seconds. In testing, cutting a one-minute 1080p video of about 74 MB into parts took about a second and a half, because copying a video is far quicker than rendering it again. The first time you use a video or audio tool on the site, add a few seconds for your browser to start the engine.
