Record your screen with sound, your voice and your camera - free, no watermark, and nothing leaves your device
Screen recording needs a computer browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox; phones and tablets don't allow it.

Tick the sound, microphone and camera options you want, and pick a quality.
Press Start recording
Your browser asks what to share: the whole screen, a window or a tab. A three-second countdown gives you time to switch to it.
Stop when you are done
Press Stop, or use your browser's Stop sharing button. Use Pause to skip a moment.
Play it and download
The recording appears with a player. Download it before you close the page.
Press Start recording, choose what to share, and record. When you stop, the recording appears with a player and a download button, and nothing is uploaded.
A clock and the file size run on the page. Pause and resume leave the paused time out of the recording, and a three-second countdown gives you time to switch to the window you are recording. Stop on the page or the Stop sharing button of your browser ends the recording.
MP4 where your browser can record it, which plays almost anywhere, otherwise WebM. A WebM straight from the browser has no length or seek table, so players and editors cannot skip through it; the page tidies it after you stop without touching the picture or sound. There are three quality levels, and a recording stops by itself at 1 GB, which is at least about 28 minutes at the High setting and usually much more.
Only Chrome and Edge on a computer can share the sound of a screen or tab; Firefox and Safari share the picture, and the microphone option adds your voice. Phones and tablets do not allow web pages to record the screen, and some streaming services protect their video so that it comes out black. Tell other people when you record a meeting.
The recording is made in your browser on your own computer. There is no account and no watermark, and no limit on how many recordings you make. Download the recording before you close the page, because it is held in memory until then.
Press Start recording, then choose what to share in your browser's window: the whole screen, one window or one browser tab. Recording begins after a short countdown; press Stop when you are done, then play the recording and download it.
Yes. Tick Show my camera in a corner, choose which corner and how big, and your camera picture is placed over the recording, mirrored the way you see yourself. Your browser asks for camera permission first.
Yes. Tick Record the sound from the screen or tab to include what your computer plays, and Record my microphone too to add your voice. Both are mixed into one sound track.
Browsers only share the sound of a screen or tab if you switch on the option to share audio in their sharing window, and only Chrome and Edge on a computer offer it (for a tab on any system, and for the entire screen on Windows). Firefox and Safari share the picture only; tick Record my microphone too to add your voice.
There is no watermark, no account and no fixed time limit. A recording stops by itself when it reaches 1 GB, which takes at least about 28 minutes at the default High quality (and about 57 at Standard), and usually far longer, because a quiet screen such as slides uses much less data than video or a game.
No. The recording is made in your browser on your own computer and is never sent anywhere. It stays in memory until you download it, so download it before you close the page.
MP4 where your browser can record it (the most compatible), otherwise WebM; when both are offered you can choose with Save as. WebM recordings are tidied after you stop so that players and editors can skip through them.
This page needs only a browser. Windows also has the Xbox Game Bar (Win+G to open it, Win+Alt+R to start and stop) and, on Windows 11, the Snipping Tool, which can record a part of the screen as an MP4.
Use this page in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, or press Shift+Command+5 for macOS's own recorder. On a Mac, sound from a browser tab can be included in Chrome and Edge.
Phone browsers do not allow web pages to record the screen, so this page shows a message there. Most current phones have a built-in screen recorder in the quick settings or Control Center.
Choose the browser tab or the meeting window when asked what to share, tick the sound option and your microphone if you want your own voice. Tell the other people that you are recording; many places require their consent.
Yes: share the meeting window or the whole screen. The sound of the meeting is included where your browser can share it (Chrome and Edge); otherwise use the microphone option with your speakers on.
Streaming services often protect their video so that it cannot be captured, and then the part of the screen that plays it comes out black. Recording a normal page or app is not affected.
Yes. Press Pause when you want to skip something and Resume to carry on; the paused time is not in the recording.
Press Stop on the page, or use the Stop sharing button your browser shows; either one ends the recording and shows it.
It gives you three seconds to switch to the window you want to record before the recording begins. Untick it to start at once.
Your browser's sharing window offers the entire screen, an application window or a single browser tab; choose the one you want.
High is a good start. Standard makes a smaller file for a talk or a slide show, and Highest keeps small text sharp in a software demo.
Browsers always show a sign that a screen is being shared, and this page shows a recording clock while it runs. Recording other people without telling them can be against the rules or the law where you are, so say that you are recording.
Yes, the browser includes the pointer in what it shares.
Cut the start and end with Trim Video, join clips with Merge Videos, or turn a short part into a GIF with Video to GIF.
Yes. Choose MP4 or WebM before you record, or change a finished recording to another type later.
Yes on a computer: Chrome and Edge give the most options, including the sound of a tab. Phones and tablets do not allow screen recording on the web.
At most about 5 megabits per second at the default High quality, which is roughly 2 MB for every 3 seconds or 2 GB an hour for busy video; a quiet screen uses far less, and the size shown while you record is live. Standard allows about half that rate and Highest about one and a half times as much.
It is free, with no watermark, no sign-up and no limit on how many recordings you make.
