Standard (100 DPI) is fine for screen viewing, email, or a quick reference copy. High (150 DPI) is a solid middle ground for most other uses. Maximum (300 DPI) matches typical print resolution and gives the sharpest detail, but produces meaningfully larger files — image file size roughly scales with the square of the DPI increase, so 300 DPI files run well over double the size of 150 DPI ones.

Yes — pick PNG from the format dropdown before converting. PNG is lossless, so text stays sharp with no compression artifacts, at the cost of a larger file than JPG. Transparency itself doesn't apply here, since a rendered PDF page is always opaque, but the sharper, artifact-free output is real. JPG stays the default when smaller file size matters more.
No — one PDF at a time. Every page inside that one PDF does become its own JPG in the output zip, but you can't batch multiple separate PDF files together in a single run.
